« Five years spent at the Lido, performing night after night have been a very important part of my life as a chanteuse, as a performer. I had to write this show to express the passion that the Lido has brought to me, it is an honour and pleasure to perform and tell stories of the underworld of the most famous cabaret in the world. »
Caroline Nin
Marlene Dietrich, Edith Piaf, Shirley Maclaine, Liza Minnelli and Noel Coward are a few stars in its pedigree of performers.
In 2005, French chanteuse Caroline Nin was invited to headline the glamorous revue, Bonheur.
For five years Caroline introduced her audiences to the longings, struggles and heartaches of Lola Lola with Nin at once being its mistress and muse, with her smoky jazz-inflected voice delighting audiences from around the world.
Her repertoire celebrates the cosmopolitan city of Paris with songs from Brel, Legrand and Gainsbourg. It also celebrates Paris’s multicultural side with songs by Piazzolla, Grace Jones and Kurt Weill.
